Summer Camp for Your Inner Child!

Thursday May 13, 2004
Seriously, this is an actual event. We received an email from the co-chairs of this year's Camp Recovery outlining all of the planned activities. Unfortunately, the email did not mention when or where the event is being held, but it sounded like so much fun we decided to post it here anyway.

Here is the email from the Camp Recovery organizers:

It's going to be a great Camp this year with at least three workshops: Guided Meditation, Affirmations Circle, and Anger, plus potentially one additional workshop. There will be plenty of 12 step meetings, plenty of fellowship, and there will be a guided hike to the lake where we'll be served lunch. The camp has upgraded the cabins by adding attached bathrooms and showers.

There's still plenty of room; accommodations are given out based on sign up date. A registration form is available at adultchildren.org

Camp Recovery, hosted by ACA (with CoDA invited!), is like summer camp for your Inner Child. It's a place for people in recovery to have fun while working on themselves. Live life purposefully -- choose to set aside time for recovery.

The price is $110.00 if received by June 5; $125 thereafter or at the door. $5.00 discount per person for 3 or more registrations in one envelope. Partial financial assistance available. Price includes lodging, 6 meals, all workshops, a DJ'd dance, crafts and activities, a guided hike to Jenk's Lake, lodging, swimming pool, and a paintable Camp "T" shirt.

Note: According to the web site, Camp Recovery is scheduled June 11-13, 2004 at Camp Mile High Pines, Angelus Oaks, CA.
