Paris Hilton Released After 3 Days
Paris Hilton has been released from jail and sent home with an electronic monitoring device after serving only three days of a 23-day sentence for probation violation. Los Angeles Sheriff's Department said the heiress was released due to medical reasons.
At a press conference early today, officials said Hilton would be confined to her home for 40 days, in what they called a "reassignment."
The news was first reported by the celebrity gossip Web site TMZ.com early today. The AOL-Time Warner owned site reported, "TMZ has learned that Paris Hilton has not only had her sentence cut short, she is already out of jail! Unimpeachable sources tell TMZ the deal was sealed yesterday, and that Hilton made her exit early this morning."
The heiress showed up to begin serving her sentence Sunday, one day earlier than announced, to avoid the media crush expected to greet her Monday. She was jailed for violating her probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case.
After a May 4 probation revocation hearing, during which Hilton took the stand in her own defense, Superior Court Judge Michael T. Sauer said Hilton would have to serve the 45 days recommended by prosecutors and that no work release, no furloughs, no use of an alternative jail and no electronic monitoring alternatives would be allowed.
Later the Judge reduced the amount of time Hilton would spent in jail to 23 days, from 45 days. During the short time she was in jail, there were accusations of special treatment. Other reports, however, were that except for being separated from the general population, Hilton was treated as any other prisoner, including being subjected to a cavity search when she arrived.

I guess the old saying just goes to show that those who have will always get! Special treatment was done, most people wouldn’t get out no matter what was wrong with them. She broke the law and now she gets out?
Paris Hilton should have had to do the entire 45 days. It’s absurd for her to get off with 23 days then leave jail after only 3 days! If that had been you or me, we would’ve had to do much more time. Just because she’s a celebrity, she should’nt have been treated any differently than the rest of us non-celebrities! Shame on the Judge!! She was released because of a medical condition? MY BUTT!! She is such a spoiled bitch!
Your right people with that kind of money can buy any judge,if it was any one eles they would have to do the time. That woman as they say is above the law,and she is now at her home laughing her head off at the police and the judge. No wonder no one wants to help the police or the judge’s!!
What 3 days? What the he–? If she is that bad off the she needs to be out of jail, then she should be in the hospital with an armed guard at her door. I notice in the story there isn’t any explanation as to what the medical reason was. Nobody gets out of jail for an for such a lame excuse, except those that are privileged to have the money to buy their way out. What a crock of crap!!!!! People have taken the ankle monitors off before, what makes the authorities think that she won’t do the same thing. I am so tired of hearing about this no-talent b-tch. You would think that there is no one else in the entertainment business to report on. Maybe if the paparazzi would stop paying so much attention to her she would change her ways a bit. All she is a poor little rich girl, only by birth. What has she really done to earn such attention. In the first place, I don’t even see why everyone thinks she is so “Hot”. She isn’t all that good looking and she is way to skinny with no boobs. She is so in love with herself that it is sickening! Go bury you head in the sand Paris Hilton!! Yuk!!! P.S. I wonder who she slept with to get out of jail free.
Wait a minute! We all know Paris has at least one … er… talent!
Well theres another little spoiled rich girl in line for jail no need to even send her for her three days i hear shes pregnant
I find it repulsive that she is home in her 2700 sq. foot home..on house arrest..please..money can buy anything and everything!!!
Marsha is right if she is so sick she has to leave jail then she should be in a hospital!
