The read the book “Addiction” and it really was a GREAT book. It really helped me to understand about addiction. I recommend this book to everyone I know who has a friend or relative addicted to drugs.

I’d like to offer another suggestion — my latest book, If You Loved Me, You’d Stop! What You Really Need To Know When Your Loved One Drinks Too Much.
It’s a great intro (fewer than 120 pages) to the broad range of issues associated with a loved one’s drinking for people groping for answers but not at the stage of declaring a loved one an alcoholic nor themselves a codependent, including: latest brain research on addiction and the disease concept; difference between alcohol abuse and addiction, dual diagnosis, underage drinking and the brain under 21, drunk driving, co-addictions, codependency and more.

Especially for healthcare professionals…but truly for everyone: Incomprehensible Demoralization- An Addict Pharmacist’s Journey to Recovery. It’ll keep you up turning pages past your bedtime…I promise.
