Bipolar Teens At Greater Risk for Substance Abuse

Healthcare providers who treat adolescents who have been diagnosed with bipolar disorder should carefully screen those patients for substance abuse, because they are much more likely to abuse alcohol and drugs and smoke cigarettes than other teens.
