Truly a remarkable wonderful story.
Both my late husband & I were hit with one of the five most prevelant Alcohol caused illness’s, that being Grand-Mal Seizures. No cure, but treated with expensive prescription drugs, for life. Let me know if you’d like our story at all. Had we known such a thing was possible, with moderate drinking only, we never would have started the nasty habit !
Excellent site – excellent article !
Keep up the great reporting work !!
God Bless you all !
It is really easy to be in denial until you are older. I can only speak for myself (who has a BUNCH of symptoms) and I come from a background of alcohol abuse. Now that my liver hurts and I have other systems and have been in and out of treatment more times than I can remember, I know where you are coming from. Take care.
I meant symptoms and not systems!
To Lonely: I can definitely relate where you are coming from. Since Saturday – and until this afternoon – I was dealing with an issue from someone who has been gone for over 15 years. Still I go to this person’s grave and place flowers, etc., and always will as long as I am capable. No words can make your hurt go away. It never makes me feel better when someone says that someone else went through it, but I feel for you and NOBODY can ever take the place of the person that you love.
