How Administered:

Injected, swallowed.

Intoxication Effects and Potential Health Consequences:

Pain relief, euphoria, drowsiness/respiratory depression and arrest, nausea, confusion, constipation, sedation, unconsciousness, coma, tolerance, addiction. Less analgesia, sedation, and respiratory depression than morphine.
