Hugh's Holiday Tip

This time I decided to help out others. I helped feed the needly here on Oahu, Hawaii. But for me to keep sober I go to a lot of meetings, I have found since July 25, 1996 (date of sobriety), that I have to continue to go to meetings and meet others.

Work the Steps

I can say I do not like meeting new people, but after doing it for some time now, I am getting use to it.

But it takes more then just going to meetings. I find that it takes a lot of will power on my own and to do the foot work that is necessary to stay clean and sober one day at a time, but most of all I have to continue to work the steps and be around recovering addicts and alcoholics.

The Meetings Are Awesome

I am currently in the U.S. Navy stationed in Hawaii, I have met alot of people here on the island. The meetings are awesome here, I have enjoyed my newly home and continue to stay here.

I stress that I hang out with recovering alcoholics, this is why I am still sober to this date, there is will power, but I have had a lot of turmoil in my life since I got sober.
