Definition: A recovery process based on peer group support, and the separation of recovery from religion or spirituality. An informal support network of people recovering from alcohol and/or drug problems using an approach developed by James Christopher.
Also Known As: Formerly known as Secular Organizations for Sobriety (SOS)
Examples: After trying A.A., he decided he was more comfortable in LifeRing Recovery.
