The Mining Co. first went "live" on April 21, 1997. During the past two years there have been literally hundreds of pages published on this web site about alcoholism and related issues to help visitors find the information and help they are seeking on the Internet.

According to available statistics, the most popular pages on the Alcoholism site, week after week, are found in our Net Link Library where links to information on the Internet are collected and organized into easy-to-find sections.

By far the most popular of these pages are the library for The Effects of Alcohol and College Drinking, along with our lists of online meetings for Alcoholic Anonymous members and Al-Anon members.

Each page on the site is visited each week by those seeking information about the family disease of alcoholism, according to the statistics, but there are some feature articles that have proven to be very helpful to visitors, judging from the large number of "hits" these pages receive each week -- sometimes years after they were first published.

1. Enabling
Many times when family and friends try to "help" alcoholics, they are actually making it easier for them to continue in the progression of the disease.
