Heroin Spoon and Syringe

This photo shows a spoon and syringe used to cook down and inject heroin and other drugs. Together they are known as the drug user's "works." Drugs are placed in the spoon, then heated over a flame until they turn to liquid. They are then placed in the syringe and injected by the user.
