Definition: Many states have laws that allow the vehicles of drunk drivers to be seized. The laws usually apply to repeat offenders and the impoundment of the vehicle can be either temporary or permanent.

Examples: After his third DUI, the state's vehicle confiscation law allowed his truck to be seized.
