Hi, I'm Buddy and I am the "guide" for this website. I make no claim to be any sort of expert on alcohol and the effect it has on alcoholics and everyone around them. After spending many years recovering from the effect the disease has had on my own life, sometimes I am just as baffled as the day I walked into my first meeting.

Nine years later I'm still trying to find all the information I can, seeking answers to my questions and discovering answers I didn't even know had questions. Most importantly, I still need the support I can only get from others willing to share their experience, strength and hope.

What I hope to accomplish here is to organize the massive amount of information and resources available out there into an user-friendly form, so that anyone seeking help with this cunning, baffling and powerful disease might find what they need. This will obviously be an on-going process with new features and links added -- and hopefully improved -- every week.
