Question: What Are the Short-Term Effects of Marijuana Use?
Answer: Smoking marijuana can have a variety of short-term effects on the user, all of which are even greater if alcohol or other drugs are also being used.

According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse some of the medically problematic short-term effects of marijuana include:

Teens who smoke marijuana can also experience dry mouth or dry throat.
