Court-Mandated A.A. - Attraction Not Promotion

AA Principals state we are a program of attraction not promotion. They also state that we hold no political opinions.

The courts have no right to send anyone to AA, If they should insist on sending addicts into recovery against their will and our own our principals and we let them, then insist that they send everyone to Smart recovery, Modern Management, Women for Sobriety or Personal Counceling as well.

AA is in reality a religious group based on God whom some choose to call a Higher Power (have you read its history?) so as to attract people that might benefit from this kind of confessional, relieve your guilt kind of organization.

But the reality is that less then 8 percent actually ever get sober. So if the courts want people to get well send them to everyone and let them find the program that works for them. But do not deny that AA ia a very religious group, and also not the only answer.

If you disagree, well I am glad that you are lucky enough to be one of the 8 percent. But differerent strokes for different folks, live and let live and keep your laws off of my body, mind and program.
