Carter's Story
I'm starting all over again today...I am so dissappointed in myself because I drank yesterday. Ten days ago I quit drinking one more time as well, but yesterday, we had a thanksgiving dinner at our house, and I ended up drinking wine and beer with everyone also.

Well, I used to be the kind of person who avoided confrontations at all costs, and let everything just gurgle inside of me, and drank lots of beer or wine to keep it stuffed down.
I grew up in a house with four brothers and two drinking parents who had parties all the time. It was like growing up in Happy Hour. There have been quite a few drama's during the years -- especially at holiday time. Alcohol was always present, and I'm responsible for my part in those dramas...
My husband and I have a sweet little two-year-old girl, and I don't want her growing up in a boozy home. My husband doesn't abuse alcohol but I do. It is almost impossible for me to get to AA meetings, but I am blessed with a computer hooked up to the Internet, a wonderful cybersponsor, and access to this newsletter, so today, I will not drink, and I will try again to stay sober.
