Definition: Rational Recovery, founded in 1986 by Jack and Lois Trimpey, is an abstinence-based approach to recovery which utilitzes the Addictive Voice Recognition Technique (AVRT).
Also Known As: R.R.
Examples: Many people have quit drinking using the Rational Recovery technique.
