Definition: Administrative suspension or revocation of a driver's license is done under the authority of a state agency, such as the department of motor vehicles. The action is autonomous and independent from criminal court penalties.
Also Known As: Driver's license suspension. Losing your driver's license.
Examples:
If you refuse to take a blood test, you will face an administrative license revocation of one year.
