Why did you decide to quit?

I definitely hit rock bottom. I started having seizures and I went through that for a couple years, but still did not stop drinking. But those seizures are very serious and I finally came around went to a rehab. I have been sober now for 2 years and loving every minute compared to how I was. I stay occupied going back to school, meetings, and doing volunteer work at a museum on the weekends

How did you get sober?

I started in a rehab then transitional living. I am almost ready to go out and live a sober life. I try to get to meetings when I can to support the fact that I am an alcoholic and always will be. I just have to handle it and not drink!

Advice

  • Do a rehab if it is necessary
  • Attend meetings
  • Get a sponsor
  • Do volunteer work
  • Occupy your mind
  • Do not drink
