I wish I never

I am a 26 year old mother of a 5yr old and have been seperated from her father for the past 3 years. Due to maryjane. I started smoking it heavily when I was 17 and have been going through an O every 2 weeks for the past 6 years. Looking back on everything now it's is plan to see why my life has turned out this bad. When you have an adictive personality which I have, Maryjane just really is not for you! It has completly taken over my life. After the first 2 years was when I started showing signs of it effecting me. My memory recall is non existent. I acually have to wait for something to reacur enough that it is in my long term memory now in order for me to remember it fully. I could be having an argument and forget what Im arguing about still in the middle of it. I think about it all the time. I would lie, steal, whatever just to feel numb. Cause honestly why else do you enjoy it so much! You want to forget how it feels when you hurt people you care about or even yourself. part 1

beg to differ...it can be helpful.

I have 3 children, all of whom are autistic. I smoked only when in rage, severly nervous or in pain with the oldest. The younger two, my moderate to severe boys, I NEVER smoked at all. Your information may need to be researched just a tad bit more, the one I smoked with when my psychological and physiological problems started, grant it only 1/2 to a 1/4 of a joint, but she's in the best of shape. Doesn't seem like such a miracle now does it. And as far as my health, all your Dr.s' wish to do for me is put me on more and more PILLS, sorry I'd rather be refered to as a pot head than a pill head. My opinion Dr.s are whats creating the majority of these pill heads as is.

Justified and rational? reply

I am going to reply to Justified and rational. I find it quite funny how people (non THC users) judge pot smokers, and make assumptions that anyone who smokes weed has anxiety issues, or emotional problems they need to deal with. It is funny how people who have never tried it can make judgments on others, as to what it does to you or how it makes you feel. If you have never tried it then you really shouldn't even comment on these topics. It is not addictive and people who smoke it can function normally while stoned. I am a father of four. Have been married nearly 20 years. Go to church regularly. Have an incredibly happy, healthy family, and work full time in a successful career. I also play recreational sports on a regular basis. I smoke pot fairly regularly and do not see any negative side effects. I don't do it because I need to. I do it because of the way it relaxes me and allows me to think outside of the box on many of life's quandaries... Don't knock it before you try it.

Know yourself

English isn't my first language. anyway Weed is an Hallucinogen it exaggerates your nerve impulses, weed does not cause insanity. if you are insane it can make things worse but if you are mentally balanced it isn't harmful. babylon makes it harder to be in mental balance. what we consider being mentally healthy really isn't find inner peace, stay positive and don't take your self too seriously and you should be alright. If you want to use hallucinogens, weak or strong do it with a correct mindset. Take it easy.

Just Me

Ive been married for 18yrs now, my husband has been smoking since he was 9yrs old....The first three yrs this i didnt know who i was married to until the truth came out. For 18yrs ive been in this circle of life because of this problem. Many unhappy things have happened thoughout the years, but still im hear. Now the reason for him using is because of physical pain but, ive have came to realize this will always be his one and only true love. With it he is the most wonderful person in the world, but without is so horrible. Im tired of trying but all i can do is pray pray that one day we can have a regular life without "it" geting in the way. There is so so much more i want to say but it can take days..lol..I am a positive and happy person regardless of this issue but in the inside just tears me up.

Justified and rational?

I find it quite funny how people (THC users) justify and rationalize their use of THC. They use it for stress. They use it for anxiety...etc etc. Every user has a reason to use. I can tell you first hand that there is always an underlying cause for using. Every pot user I know, uses it in an effort to avoid dealing with life on life's terms. Point blank. Nobody ever looks into why they have anxiety disorder, they just medicate it. I developed severe anxiety as a result of abusing alcolhol. Then the doctor filled me full of Atavan so I could go to work without alcohol on my breath. Things changed for me when I made a decision to get off of everything and change my way of thinking. I had to deal with life on life's terms and be okay with it. I had to deal a bunch of bad things from my past too, and that was painful. However, now people ask me how I remain so calm at all times. I WORKED HARD TO FIND THE REAL PROBLEM and then solved it. Pot isn't the answer....I can assure you!

It's not bad for you but ingesting smoke

There has not been one death every recorded in the history of earth i know ppl say it hasent been around long enough trust me if it was going to kill ppl it would of showed up by now . I smoke weed everyday since 14 years old and have not experienced and negative side effects other then caughing while smoking it. I am 24 now .. it hasent been that long but i know mes who have been smoking for over 30 years and have no negative side effects . the government wants you to think its just as bad as other drugs thats ridiculous they are making alot of money by locking up marjiunna users thats why it looks so bad all this teens and young adults go to jail for possesing a couple joints and it makes all the users look bad when in reality it is the safest drug out there and not only helps ppl with chronic pain but ppl who are anorexic and other illnesses.

Not for everyone?

First off, I would not be so quick to judge everyone's response based on grammar or cohesiveness. Many poorly typed responses are likely due to a lack of clerical skills as opposed to knowledge of proper grammar and writing skills. Focus on the points that one is trying to make and try to disregard readability. This is the internet after all; everyone has access, though not necessarily typing ability or the patience to type properly. Shorthand can easily become habit. On to the topic at hand. I am currently 24 and I have been smoking pot on-and-off for about 5 years. At 22, I had a severe anxiety attack while stoned. Since then, the anxiety associated with pot use only perpetuated the anticipatory symptoms of said attack, resulting in frequent and powerful anxiety attacks for the following two months. Eventually I had to stop smoking pot altogether. Any exposure would instantly send me into a panic. That, however, is only an association problem; not a specific fault of the pot.

boyfriend a psycho w/o the MJ

I was born and raised in Sarasota, Florida. So, I'm all about the beach and chillin and peace. I personally don't have a problem with maryjane but unfortunately my boyfriend does. I love him dearly but he's a effen bum. All he wants to do all day is lie in bed and smoke and when he does'nt have it he wacks out and gets very moody and violent. I've been dealing with this for over five years. It frikin suks. Not to mention his mother lives with us....she's a stoner as well....imagine that. When the don't have their smoke it's like world war eight in here. But when they get it and burn it's like heaven ~~~all cool and chill. I personally think it's wacky to have to depend on it like that. I don't hate the gonga but if you have to depend on it like my bf and it affects your loved ones than i think you have some deep rooted issues. Respect the reefer and and use it for peace not sanity.

Too long

I have been using marijuana for a very long time and I can tell you one thing don't bother trying it, it just slows you down in life. Doesn't let you finish anything you start, keep forgetting things and the worst you don't have a routine for meals, when the munchies kick in the stomach turns into a garbage bin. And after all that abusing of marijuana you just sit there minced not very practical at all especially when socialising, after a while it gets boring life just seems dull/meaningless that's why folks don't bother if you never have god help us all

Reconsidering

I am 57 and have been smoking pot on a daily basis for over 30 years. I support legalization and I have a prescription for pot because I am lucky enough to live in California. I can see both sides of the argument but couldn't help noticing that not one single response here is grammatically correct. I suppose that could be a coincidence but none the less interesting.

in general

after reading a few of the stories on here i'm not even sure where to start.. for the 'just stop' everyone is entitled to their own opinons- tobacco isn't for everyone, nor is alcohol. i work very hard at my full time job and i'm an everyday smoker. i use it as medication for my ever growing stress and anxiety. my husband is perscribed xanax for his aniety ( i have also been perscribed this once before)- it is NOT as effective as maintaining a constant thc level in my body. my husband has difficulties focussing and generally staying awakewhen he takes the xanax. on the other hand- (we actually use a vaporizor to eliminate the "smoke" factor- plus you get 93%thc per hit vs the 78% from a bong ) and he can focus, carry on conversations, do a daily routine much more effectivley- so it all depends on why you are smoking (potdad also) some people have addictive personalities and use recreational relaxation in the wrong sense and get carried away with i
